Title: High Strength All Ceramic Restorations – An Update
Synopsis: CAD/CAM zirconia based restorations have gained popularity in recent years and expanded the range of clinical applications for all ceramic restorations. However, the quantity and quality of the available data regarding the long term performance of such applications is, at best, vague. This presentation will overview new and existing clinical applications of zirconia based restorations and will try to present ideas as to what may be considered as promising for clinical use, why current complications occur, and what needs to be done in order to improve the treatment outcome.

Bio: Dr. Sadan is Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Professor and Chairman, Department of Comprehensive Care, Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio. He is the former editor-in-chief of Quintessence International and Quintessence of Dental Technology (QDT), served on the editorial boards of other journals, and has lectured and published nationally and internationally on fixed prosthodontics and biomaterials. He received his training in prosthodontics from the LSU School of Dentistry and is a member of several professional organizations. He maintains an intramural practice limited to fixed and implant prosthodontics.
